Taunton Canoe Club mostly goes to Westward Ho! The surf is not generally as good as Croyde or Putsborough, but when it comes in clean can be spectacular.
Not all surf is clean and green...
...or even large! You put up with whatever the sea throws at you.
Sometimes you get it just right...
...and sometimes not...
...and occassionally the summer throws up some storm surf, only for the foolhardy.
Plenty to do on the beach besides surf.
Just wait till his mum gets him home.
After a pleasant paddle, you need somewhere to stick it!
Sometimes you even get to see boats on 'proper' waves...
...and once in a while, along comes surf you'll never forget!
